The hotel boasted a warm and cute atmosphere with friendly staff. My room was clean and quiet, nice for a great night's rest. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, but the waffles were a nice touch. There were minor issues with the air conditioning units being a bit loud, which affected my sleep quality.

I really enjoyed a decent size room in this hotel.

Everything was well-maintained, caring staff, excellent location close enough to freeway exit and a great park to burn energy. The room with 2 beds.

We had a lovely stay and appreciated how the hotel accommodated our request to have rooms near each other, and they were super clean and spacious. We enjoyed relaxing by the outdoor pool and finding a cozy spot to unwind in the evening. The only minor hassle was the walk to get breakfast items like cream cheese and butter, but overall, it was a great experience 😊

Very well situated near downtown and the beach.

Staff was very friendly and was very prompt when we called about the fact that there were no towels or shower curtain in our room upon arrival. We had towels and a shower curtain in less than ten minutes.

Breakfast was good but there were a lot of people (apparently a convention of some kind) and it was a bit difficult to negotiate the breakfast area.

Can just recommend for a relaxing holiday

Clean room, spacious area, with a gym that was very convenient for a quick workout before exploring the surroundings, and it also offered free parking , made our stay more manageable.

Reasonable value for a mid-priced motel in Bakersfield. Neighborhood and surroundings seem safe and secure. Were able to walk to a pretty decent restaurant (Hungry Hunter).

Furnishings are a bit worn around the edges and dated. Tv was not a hi- def flat screen, for example.

I loved how close I was to Buck Owens' Crystal Palace, just over a kilometer away, and it was great to take leisurely walks to nearby parks like Beale Park, only about 3 kilometers from my stay. It made my city exploration super convenient and fun.

The Standard King Room felt cramped, with the desk awkwardly positioned directly under the TV. The bathroom was almost a tight squeeze, particularly during shower time, leading to a rather uncomfortable experience. Plug availability around the desk was seriously lacking, limiting gadget charging options. If you're looking to gather with a couple of colleagues, the lobby falls short, lacking adequate seating for meetings and providing a not-so-inviting space to sit and discuss business matters.
